Symptoms of colorectal cancer may include:

Stages:
- Stage 0: Cancer has not spread beyond the mucosa.

- Stage 3: Cancer has metastasized to nearby lymph nodes.
- Stage 4: Cancer has spread to distant organs such as the liver, lungs, or the abdominal cavity lining. Size may vary at this stage.
Treatment Modalities
- Surgical Oncology:
During surgery, the tumor along with some surrounding healthy tissue is removed, a procedure commonly known as surgical resection or colectomy. This is the primary treatment for most colorectal cancer patients.
- Medical Oncology:
Chemotherapy: Chemotherapy utilizes chemicals to kill cancer cells. It can involve the administration of a single chemotherapy drug or a combination of two or more drugs.
Targeted Therapy: Targeted medication therapy is often used alongside chemotherapy for the treatment of advanced colon cancer.
