About
Dr. Khatwani has worked in GCRI (Gujarat Cancer Research Institute), for 4 years. He has a vast experience of more than 8 years in the field of medical oncology and hematology. He has made several paper and poster presentations in national and international conferences with number of awards. Additionally, he has published many articles in renowned journals, and has also been investigator in a number of clinical trials.
Thesis Topic: A Study on “neoadjuvant chemotherapy in locally advanced head and neck squamous cell cancer”

Co-investigator in a clinical trial
- A randomized, double blind, placebo controlled, phase 3 study to compare aromatase inhibitors plus abemaciclib, or plus placebo and to compare fulvesterant plus abemaciclib or plus placebo in postmenopausal women with hormone receptor positive, HER2 negative locoregionally recurrent or metastatic breast cancer.
- A multicentre, Double blind, Randomized, Parallel group, Active controlled, Phase III global study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of BP02 (trastuzumab) in comparision with Herceptin in Her2 positive EBC (Early Breast Cancer ) and MBC (Metastatic Breast cancer) patients
- And in many more phase 2/phase 3 studies

- 2011-2014: Postgraduate resident in department of medicine in SMT NHL MMC
- 2014-2017: DM resident in department of Hemato-oncology in Gujarat cancer and research institute which included 3 months of BMT training
